General interest, Professional
Quite technical

Join us to learn about the practicalities of detailed and regular inspections of traditional buildings. We’ll share how a robust maintenance plan can stave off decay and expensive repairs.

A networking lunch will provide you with the opportunity to continue discussions.

Our full-day experience includes a tour of Stirling’s historic Old Town. Our team will point out a range of maintenance issues within the city and discuss the perils of ignoring the warning signs of fabric decay.

For those who cannot join us in person, a virtual ticket is available for the morning only.

Learning outcomes

You will:

  • understand the basic principles and practical approaches underpinning sound management of Scotland’s traditional buildings

  • recognise the physical and economic benefits of having a formal maintenance programme managed by qualified operatives
