Kisimul Castle is closed until further notice to allow for conservation works, but you can call in to Castlebay Hall and find out more about the castle from our staff. You can also get closer to the castle by taking a short boat trip around Castlebay.

Boat trips

2 May to 14 September: Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10.30am, 11.15am, 12 noon, 1.45pm, 2.30pm, 3.15pm and 4pm.

Tours leave from the pontoon in the Marina.

Free of charge, but numbers are limited and you will need to prebook your ticket.

Boat trips may be subject to cancellation at short notice, particularly in the event of bad weather. Please check our closures page for unexpected closures/cancellation of sailings.

Visitor Engagement Area (Castlebay Hall) 

Over the summer staff will be on hand to talk to you about the castle and answer any questions you may have. It’s free to enter. Call in, talk to the team and learn more about this iconic castle.

Open from Tuesday 9 July to Saturday 14 September 2024: Tuesday to Saturday, 9.30am to 4.30pm (closed for lunch 12pm to 1pm).

We will be closed on 27 July; 2, 3, 6 & 14 August and 16 August to 19 August.
